Republican Culture of Corruption - Tom DeLay

More worries for Tom, Travis County prosecutors have subpoened his and his daughters home and work phone records.

Travis County prosecutors want to know how U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay, R-Sugar Land, purchased a 2004 Toyota Sienna minivan, subpoenaing all records surrounding the transaction, as well as telephone records from DeLay, his campaign and his daughter.

Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle subpoenaed records from Toyota Motor Credit Corp., including purchase agreements, credit documents, receipts, copies of checks and any information on a possible trade-in and down payment.

It sounds like they may be looking at personal use of contributions.

UPDATE - More Corruption

Karl Rove makes his fourth trip to the grand jury.

  1. Haha, "Republican culture of corruption."

What about the Democratic culture of corruption, a topic I have decided to start taking on at my blog?

  5. I agree that corruption can appear anywhere. However, now that the Republicans control all aspects of government, they are acting as if they are above the law.

Sadly, in many cases the end result of the degree of control they have is that they are above the law, at least untill there is a change in leadership in one area.
