Interesting Note About Karen Floyd (R)

Gervais S. Bridges may be closing his blog, but he is making sure that the end of Barbecue & Politics is noteworthy.

All told, 47% of Floyd's contributions were from out-of-state. And 23% was from Howard Rich. I don't know if I mentioned that.


It is amazing how much money a New York multimillionaire is willing to invest in South Carolina politics. It is also interesting to note how little focus this story is getting.

    It points out 2 things.

    1. She is not getting broad based financial support form the people of SC.

    2. She risks becoming 'beholdin' to a single person who lives out of state, but may have more influence about SC schools than anyone who's kids actually attend them
