The Air France flight broke up in flight, maybe at a very high altitude, and so far almost no media outlet is mentioning it.
Update
Of course, if becomes far less obvious if every one of the debris fields are simply ocean trash and not from the crash.

the evidence still suggests a high-altitude break-up. in theory, it could be a bomb, but those would be pretty smart terrorists to be able to detonate it just as the plane flew into a humongous thunderstorm.
