The UN committee against torture has told America that it should close Guantanamo Bay and any secret prisons abroad because they violate international law.
The 10 independent experts, who examined America's record at home and abroad, also urged President George Bush's administration to "rescind any interrogation technique" that constituted torture or cruel treatment, citing use of dogs to terrify detainees.
It will be interesting to see if anyone has the courage to follow up on the finding that we have also broken international law.
