Not A Real Surprise

and it is progress (or a sort), Hamas 'implicitly accepts Israel'.

Palestinian militant group Hamas has agreed to a document backing a two-state solution to the conflict with Israel, officials say. The initiative, devised by prisoners held in Israeli jails, implicitly recognises the Jewish state.

This is expected and only a small step, but at least it appears to be a step in the right direction.

I certaintly agree. When you are dealing with a situation wuch as the one that Palestine and Isreal are dealing with you have to always consider every front of the confrontation and there are many. However, in this instance the slow gathering and commune of Palestinian officials from Hamas and other groups prove to offer a large amount of hope for resolve. Now let's see how Isreal reacts to the demands of the treaty.
