How radical do the judges need to be to keep

Pat Robinson Happy?

Federal judges are a more serious threat to America than Al Qaeda and the Sept. 11 terrorists, the Rev. Pat Robertson claimed yesterday.
"Over 100 years, I think the gradual erosion of the consensus that's held our country together is probably more serious than a few bearded terrorists who fly into buildings," Robertson said on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos."

"I think we have controlled Al Qaeda," the 700 Club host said, but warned of "erosion at home" and said judges were creating a "tyranny of oligarchy."

7 of 9 Supreme Court justices are Republican Appointments, 10 of the 13 circuit courts are controlled by Republican appointments, and they are not happy.

The trouble that these people have is the court's are following law and judicial tradition. Robinson and pals want them to be Judicial activities for the causes of the Religious right. They don't want us to be a nation of laws, but a nation ruled by the decrees of a Judicial/Christian panel of overlords.

For a good example of this, just think Iran.

From AMERICAblog, more from Pat. Now he thinks that Muslems, by nature of thier faith, are not fit for 'some high offices' , including serving as judges.

A note to Pat, please check Article 6.

Clause 3: The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.
