Denial by Delay, GOP Tactic Against Plan B

A very enlightening interview with the Susan F. Wood, a biologist and director of the FDA's Office of Women's Health (now resigned) at the FDA. We again get to see the Bush administration and the Republican Right's war on science.

as example;

The American Academy of Pediatrics has said it supports the availability of emergency contraception for adolescents and that Plan B is safe and effective for adolescent use. This is a thoughtful, mainstream group. Why would the FDA take such a different approach?
This is where I have to say I don't know. None of the professional staff were in the room [when the decision was made to delay approval].
