Not All Republicans Are Racist

But this week again it is shown that all racist appear to be Republicans.

Everyone should know about Sen. Allen's (R-Va.) slur he tossed at a volunteer of the Webb campaign. What some media outlets have not noticed is the term he used is a word that his mother is most likely to be aware of, and that there is a good chance he learned it from her, and knew exactly what he was saying.

Down in Florida a less well known Republican has decided to share Allen's shame. Tramm Hudson (R-Fl.) is running for Katherine Harris seat, and while telling a story about his service in the armed forces also educated us about the inability of blacks to swim.

The folks at Firedoglake have an excellent (yet slightly rude) look at this topic, and racism within the GOP.

Its a sad sad statement on society when this occurs. From all of the research you and others have done on this, it would appear this guy meant it as a slur. Its sad when anybody Republican or otherwise comes off like this. Obviously you cannot believe it is a Republican only issue John. Because a person is raised to become a Democrat, doesnt mean they are Blameless.
Lowering yourself to the values of a Republican, and calling names is not very good either. Even the name of your blog, "A Lie a Day" weould infer that Democrats are blameless when you keep pointing your finger at Republicans. One of the Biggest Liars there ever was in Government and who was Impeached over it was Bill Clinton. I think he had a D after his name.
Im not defending Republicans, Im just saying its not just a Republican problem. Just like Liars in Government are not left or right.

I do belive that the vast majority of racist are Republicans. I live in the south, where the key to the rebirth of the republican party was the democratic party's support of civil rights.

Now, not all republicans are racist, heck maybe not even most, but there is a siginificant undercurrent of racism within the party. Heck, the head of the Klan was got the republican party's nomimnation for governor of his state back in the early 80s.

As to Clinton, I was never a huge fan, but I can recall only one major lie from him, and it is one that many men, without reguard to political party, have been guilty of.

Being caught with your pants down, tends to cut your IQ in half.

Aside from that, I don't recall any major overt lies.

I understand John. I just think its sad anyone is ever judged on anything other than their Character. Being judged over something you have no control is one thing. Being born a different color, mentally challenged, or even gay(I do not believe being gay is a choice). I almost consider Religion one of these as well since most kids are raised in their religion without knowing anything else, but its also how one is wired to believe.
I bet living where you do, you get to see a lot of these Racist Morons. You could better address some issues as could I living up here in Idaho(old home of the Aryan Nation). I hope every one of those racists are rooted out and exposed for the simpletons they are. We have no place for that stuff.
Hey John. I started my Blogpage finally.

I agree John. I grew up surrounded by racists R's and I credit that with my desire to seek something better for myself and therefore my children. So glad I chose a different path...my journey contains much less anger, hate, unhappiness and such that I witnessed from others growing up. Life's just too short for that crap.

AND WHAT UP? Don't be bashing no Bill Clinton over here. I love that man. He made a mistake. He admitted it. One of the biggest liars ever in Government??? Are you kidding me????????

I'm sorry, but that is an ignorant statement. It is about time people build a bridge and get over Clinton's BJ and his not informing the country about it the way WE thought he should.

Clinton will go down in history as one of this country's greatest leaders.

Now Tammy,
Bill Clinton lied numerous times, even under oath. It was not one lie covering up a BJ.
He also lied to his wife with whom he also had a sworn oath.
All that aside, I agree with you. Bill clinton did some good things for this country. I believe all men should be judged based on their whole work, not just a part of it. I also believe the sign of a bad president/polititian is in the satisfaction numbers. But often even those are skewed. I just hope there is a way we can turn this country around and get out of everyone elses business and take care of the business at home. I dont know what the right answers are for some of these problems we are in, but apparently the current administration is not picking the right ones so far according to the satisfaction numbers.
