George Bush has Given a Huge Gift to Bin Laden

and Al Qaida.

First he does a half-assed job in Afghanistan. When indications are that we soon will win, he starts removing forces and assets. This act gives the terrorist and their government protectors time and space to get away, and then he attacks another country.

Danica Kirka
at the Chicago Sun Times has a lot to say about this.

LONDON -- Car bombs at an Egyptian luxury hotel. Explosions in London subways. Suicide blasts in Baghdad.

With the frequency of terror attacks apparently mounting, experts searching for common threads behind the attacks suggest that the war on terror is being waged against an ever-increasing well of recruits, bound together by motives and cause -- rather than a single al-Qaida mastermind.

With havens in Afghanistan under pressure and their finances under scrutiny, militants may take philosophical guidance from the likes of Osama bin Laden but are largely relying on their own resources in carrying out operations, experts said Saturday.

''They all want to be part of this phenomenon,'' said Loretta Napoleoni, author of Terror Incorporated: Tracing the Dollars Behind the Terror Networks, as she explained the terror wave. ''It's not like someone is telling [the militants], 'You bomb on the first of July.'"

gematt, when using a name you must capitalize the first letter, as in Hanoi Jane. What she has to do with the current war I have no idea but since you brought her up you could at least write it correctly. And the word is spelled 'unfortunately'.
You abbreviation of gov is not correct as is your abbreviation of dems.
A shared vision with terroist... you mean terrorist? That entire sentence is not a sentence but a fragment and even then makes no sense.
The remainder of your missive is so full of spelling and grammatical errors as to be completely nonsensical.
I read someplace that liberals are far more educated than conservatives. You certainly lend credence to that point.

gematt.

Thank you for your visit and comment.

From what I can decipher from your post, I suspect we are 180 degrees apart in how we see the world working. I fear your view is deeply flawed, and if we continue on this path we will fail.

A war against Al Qaeda is an unfortunate necessity, a war of 'terror' is a huge farce that id sure to fail.

fight smart and in, or fight dumb and lose, and we are fighting dumb.

again thanks for your visit.

and anonymous, thank you too.
