On the 23rd of July 2002, a meeting was held in London. This was a high level gathering, involving the top tier of the British Government. It was about the War in Iraq.
about 33 months later, the minutes of this meeting became public. The Downing Street Memo was born. This memo, and the other memos that have come out lately, make it clear that the US and the UK were involved in an coordinated effort to start a war.
The Downing street memo shows us that, in the US, the intelligence was being cooked to justify an attack. Later Memos make it clear that the war was view as illegal; That one goal was to try to trick Saddam into attacking us to start the war, and that while the US was still claiming ties to Bin Laden, none existed.
Our leaders lied to the people of this nation in an effort to justify an illegal war. This fact, this series of memos, have to be investigated, and those responsible for any illegal actions must be held accountable.
Don't let Roberts distract from Rove (and Scooter), Don't let Rove distract from Downing Street. Don't let the alarming culture of corruption this is the Republican party and the Bush Administration overwhelm us. Each act must be investigated and exposed, and we dare not forget one, in the chase of another.
