The Value Of 'Your Word'

With some people their word is their bond. Once they have made a promise, they will do all within their power to make sure it is kept.

With other people, their word is worthless. They make statements and promises that sound great, but are just words without any backing.

One such BS artist is our own President. Geroge Bush has no real desire to keep his word. Months ago Bush gave his words that those involved in leaking the name of a covert CIA agent would be fired. Now that it is clear that his top adviser was one of those involved, he refuses to take any action.

Now the DC democrats are demanding that Bush fire Rove, and explain Cheney's involvement. The right is busy spinning this as normal partisan politics (as it is), but we must remember that they are also just asking Bush to be a person who's word has value.

The reality is Bush is just a sad BS artist, and has no interest in keeping his word. He is far more interested in keeping his power, and he has to have Rove in place to do that.

Outside the Tent has noticed the same lie.
