Ford is calling for Job cuts and plant closures, citing a projected loss of about 300 Million in this quarter (a reminder Ford posted a PROFIT of 1.2 Billion in the 1st quarter).
Henry Ford was not a nice man, but he was wise in many ways. He knew to make a product for the masses, his workers would have to make enough money to actually one.
This, very soon, may not be the case in the US blue collar work force.
