In Virginia, Bob McDonnell is running for Attorney General (as a Republican, of course). He is deep into Pat Robertson's camp, having received over $36,000 from him. In addition, he is a partner at Huff, Poole & Mahoney, Robertson's law firm, and a graduate of Robertson's law school at Regent University.
Now lets meet Robin W. Vanderwall; He was also a student at Regent, and had, prior to his arrest in 2004, served McDonnell as his campaign manager.
What was Vanderwall, arrested for?
Vanderwall was arrested after he contacted a Virginia Beach police officer who was posing as an underage boy in an Internet chat room, according to prosecutors. The officer agreed to meet with Vanderwall at a Virginia Beach park on the evening of Jan. 10. Vanderwall was arrested when he showed up at the park.
He was arrested for trying to have sex with a 13 year old boy.
This would just be a sad story about Vanderwall, except for one interesting piece of non denial from McDonnell. He couldn't remember whether or not he personally ever engaged in sodomy.
A very odd thing to not be sure if you had ever engaged in.
