Looking for Truth or Look for Evidence.

The verbal fire at Iran from Tony Blair continues, the British have taken aggressive steps to find evidence of Iran's guilt.

A TEAM of military specialists has been dispatched to Iraq to compile a comprehensive dossier of evidence that "Iranian elements" have been arming insurgents engaged in a brutal struggle with British forces around Basra.

The Foreign Office last night confirmed that experts were engaged in an intensive operation to back up growing concerns that Iran is "interfering" to deadly effect in efforts to pacify Iraq and restore democracy to the war-torn country.

What should trouble everyone, including those who are tasked for this project is the fact that they are not looking for the truth, they are trying to prove a theory. In situations like this, evedinvce can almost always be found that you can make fit.

Like the US and UK's push to prove that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, without a commitment to find the truth, you are assured of 'proving' your theory, even if there is not any real evidence in support.

I have little doubt that persons in Iran are involved, but that may not mean that Iran as a nation is involved. This is a lesson we need to learn. This applies not only in Iran, but also to the US as we look at Syria.

If a nation is responsible, then we can hold them responsible, but a nation can not be held responsible for the actions of a few of it's citizens. This has to be remembered, and this line can not be crossed. Lets hope this wisdom is embraced by the officials of both the Blair and Bush administration.

Tony Blair's support for Bush's war was a surprise. Long before the death tolls and the cost of war in Iraq began to have an impact on Bush's popularity, the majority of Brits were against the war. Yet Blair is charging ahead....a faithful adherent of the Bush doctrine. It is puzzling.
