Bowing to the Obvious, Evacuee Housing

Program continued.

The end date for this program should be October 15th. With almost half a million people still in hotels, and that number still climbing as the last of the shelters are being closed down, it is clear that the old standards could not apply here.

Alternate longer term housing has to be found, but the scale of this disaster and the lessons that we should have learned from the housing efforts in Florida.

There is no one right solution, and many will not be happy with the options they have, but at least this is a step in the right direction.
