Another Clear Sign

Of how much disgrace Bush has brought to our nation and the office of the President.

While this story of kidnapping is not new, there is a story in salon that our government is at last investigating why we used kidnapping as a weapon.

Salon has obtained Army documents that show several cases where U.S. forces abducted terror suspects' families. After he was thrown in prison, Cpl. Charles Graner, the alleged ringleader at Abu Ghraib, told investigators the military routinely kidnapped family members to force suspects to turn themselves in.

This is a tactic that you can see the governments of Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, even Saddam Hussein using, and we may soon discover that it is one that our government, entrusted to George Bush, has not only used, but embraced.

If true, it demands harsh and severe punishment for all those involvded, all those who approved, and all those who should have known. We can not afford to be known as a nation that feels the rule of law doesn't apply to us.

Remember tha the US citizens had immunity from criminal court in Europe a few years back...

I'm not sure if you see this relevant or connected to your comment. :)

At least at the bottom of your post you admit that the allegations might not be true.

If they are true (not just detainment of families, but actual torture) then I agree that Bush, et al should be brought to justice. But at this point it seems just another allegation of the Bush haters.

What are you willing to do if the allegations turn out to be false?

Frank,

I suspect they are true, and the larger question to you is.

If they are true, what are YOU going to so.
