The UN was rightly outraged, and Kofi Annan accused Israel of deliberately attacking the outpost. Israel was offended at the suggestion and basically said that the UN was lying.
Now it has come out that the UN post had contacted Israel ten times to ask them to stop attacking. They were assured that the attacks would stop, and they did, just as soon as the guided missile delivered by the Israeli airforce destroyed the bunker.
These four deaths will raise the total number of UN casualties in this invasion to over a dozen.
