The Iraq Civil War Talk

Has reappeared in the news over the weekend. I guess the daily grind of bombings and murders

Masked Shi'ite gunmen rampaged through a west Baghdad neighborhood Sunday, dragging Sunnis from their cars, picking them out on the street and killing at least 41 in an escalation of sectarian violence.

Hours later, two car bombs exploded near a Shi'ite mosque in the city's north, killing 17 people and wounding 38 in what appeared to be a reprisal attack

make the cycle of violence hard to ignore, overwelming the bush administrations best efforts to stay positive about the results of our attack.

The daily update at Informed Comment is a must read and very sobering.

A quick sidebar about controlling the news.

Reuters is now reporting that the girl that us troops are accused of raping and killing was not 20-25 as US officials are claiming but only 14.

This is so sad. Dragged out of your house and executed? The savagery! If 58 people were routinely murdered daily in Atlanta, there would be a huge problem. And this happens there about every other day. Hard to believe we actually have troops on the ground. The govt there must be complicit for it to just go on and on.
