Iraq, A New Day, The Same Song

The calls for troop withdraw are building in both number, and volume. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) has come out favoring troop reduction in Iraq, but does see value in keeping some troops in place. In a bit of comedy, he is also calling on Bush to admit the errors in the Iraq invasion. He is wasting his breath. While Bush is an expert in committing errors, he never admits to the stream of disasters he creates in his wake.

There is good reason to think that Sen. Obama's call may be answered. The Pentagon is currently drafting plans to remove about 15 percent of the combat force in Iraq in 2006. If this information is correct, we will still have well over 100,000 men in Iraq in 12 months.

And there is good reason for this.

The situation isn't getting any better. American troops are still being killed, suicide bombers are still striking, and fuel is still being added that will explode into a full scale civil war.

And then we can seen more troops back in.
